“Greg, you listen to me boy, you never give up, you hear. I don’t care if you ain’t got a dime to yo name. In this family we never give up,” Greg’s grandfather said pushing him into a lake with no lifeguard.
Greg had to be in that lake for at least 30 minutes treading water.
“Good job,” his grandfather John said pulling his shaking little body out of the lake.
20 years later:
“Where did everyone go?” Greg asked his wife.
“I don’t know sweetheart, I guess they all quit,” his wife Janice replied.
No one was preaching at the churches.
No one was at the corner store.
No one was at the gas stations.
No one was at any stadiums.
The schools were empty.
The universities were empty also.
Police cars and fire trucks were at the stations with no one in them.
Everyone stayed home and did what they wanted to do.
Janice soon noticed the power go out and no water coming out of their water faucet.
She looked at Greg with a stern look, “You better get everyone off of their ass Greg or we’re all going to face a slow death.”
Greg knew his wife was serious so he lite the fire under the world and she was his queen, a new dynasty had begun under their reign.
Queen Janice and King Greg never gave up while everyone else gave in.
