2024 Late Night Fever

In health class the teacher got in trouble for teaching us about the buttocks and breast. In my history class Mr. Murphy took pride in teaching us all about American History, he would always tell us about the movie he got to play in after World War 2. To be honest, I don’t know what 2024 will bring, the world seems to be what it has always been, “The World!” I’ve come to learn that the unfortunate have a fine way of finding a place in society and the fortunate have a way of making sure that they too have to pay. Somehow my TV ended up on and I saw an actor that looked very attractive from the 80s. She’s probably old and grey now but once my late night fever kicks in, I’ll probably have a dream about her just like I dream about everything else. Goodbye 2023, and hello 2024, I’ll make sure I say a prayer for all of the people lost and ask the sun to give flowers to those still living. On the first sunrise of 2024, I’ll be thankful that I defied the odds and made it to see another year and be hopeful for many more. I’ve learned to fight the late night fever, it’s what the health teacher used to say, jokingly, a human has two natures, and when the second one comes out, babies are made by accident.

2024 Late night fever.

I’ll be hiding under my bed, the world is a nasty place.

The Lonely Carpenter

When he returned, no one knew him, and there he stood in his black robe with matching sandals.

He traveled through the underworld only to return in another life.

His mother Mary was now an alcoholic.

His friend Mary Magdalene turned into a stripper and the home where he was born was overcome by war and strife.

They needed him.

His father Joseph was on the run for not paying his taxes, and the world was all shaken up.

He’d returned, and it appeared as though no one cared. No one knew him so he began to build from the same wood that they crucified him on.

All of his disciples had moved on and the only one who remembered him was his brother James.

“You did it brother, you saved us from our sins, now live your life. I knew that you would return, your secret is safe with me. Merry Christmas,” James said handing him the keys to his temples, mansions, palaces, churches, castles, and pyramids.

“The world is yours, King of Kings, and all of the heavens too, now end the wars and give us peace, the devil is defeated.”

The Lonely Carpenter

The New Beginning

There was never an end, his death was all an illusion, he rose like the morning sun.

Seeing the stars aligned with the pyramids all power was his and Ra was now flesh and light. The Christ God. The beloved savior of mankind. The comforter and provider.

In ah, the people dropped their weapons of war and cleansed themselves in the Nile River. The heavens opened up and the dead in Christ returned, for their off spring and life itself was now infinite. ♾️ For God had kept his promise and the people worshiped under an eternal sun.

Amen, Amun, & Amon

The Lonely Carpenter rebuilt his kingdom where it all began.

The Christmas Spell

Don’t make fun of those who are different.

Don’t laugh at those who fall down.

Berry’s and eggs are no better than sugar and toast so who are you to judge the flavors of cinnamon and chocolate? Who are you to boast?

If God is a misfit sitting on a mountain, it may be wise to listen to the burning bush. You will never learn to pull until you’re pushed.

In time, you’ll comprehend what you thought to be a curse, sitting in a room questioning your birth.

For if you’re unhappy about how you were made try going back in time and being forced upon as a slave.

I recon that you learn to accept, so I cast a spell, if Christ is real, then he saved us all from hell.

I see what you’re doing wrong but it’s not my business to tell.

And if we forget the message in the story, then we will fail.

Repeating over and over our mistakes, yearning for perfection that we cannot make.

So here is my spell, for those stuck in a ditch, look to the heavens and make a wish.

God never fails, he watches like a lion, with glory from above so keep on trying.

In like a Lamb, and out like a Lion.

The Christmas Trap

Feeling the frosty winter breeze I over heard her conversation with Sue. We were an hour into the Christmas party.

“Trap the he man with alcohol so we can take his dear soul,” the demented witch explained to her confidants. Swiftly moving across the floor with her cunning tactics she moved in to dance with the he man.

“Drink this, it will loosen you up,” she said wrapping her arms around his sturdy shoulders. She slowly moved towards his neck.

Feeling the fate of all mankind as she turned his head to her bosom she did everything for him to sip her drink.

Hearing the song end, he grabbed his Santa hat and said, “Your Christmas traps won’t work with me Jezebel,” he then flew away with his goodly elves to deliver toys to the good little children. Flying across the sky everybody could hear his laugh, “Ho,Ho,Ho! Merry Christmas!”

God taught me how to love Christmas

I’m writing this piece for myself, and for a young person ignorant of God’s ability to change a person’s life.

In reality I’m a great person, but I do have flaws. Serving a perfect God has taught me why I have flaws.

Everyone’s walk with God is different, I found him while alone in a military hospital. To be honest I didn’t get well until I came to acknowledge that I needed God’s help. I was a lonely reck searching for love.

That makes me great because God taught me how to love, because he kept his promise. This Christmas, like every other day in my life, I yearn for a closer walk with the supernatural, the greatness of God’s mercy. Even if Christmas isn’t important to some people God taught me how to love it. A time with his creation, a time to share in his thoughts and ways, but most of all a time of joy. The goodness of God has shown me how to be good and come to him for hope.

I found God’s goodness alone in a room, in a world filled with every form of pleasure that you can imagine. Yet, friends, take my advice seriously. Even if you’ve never met me or may have and just don’t like me, I have to say that we’re nothing without God. Why does every civilization find God? Why has every king held on to a belief in something that no one can see? Whom do we turn to when we have nothing left? Where does our knowledge come from? Who gives us the spirit to win wars that seem impossible? Friends, listen to my point, listen to my cry this holiday season. Even when people feel they have you figured out, even when your empire is falling pay attention to what I’m saying. I am a lost and lonely man searching and navigating my way through God’s infinite master plan this Christmas. I’ve read so many books and I’m still climbing the tree of knowledge, but even at the peak level of skill and academic mastering, even when on the edge of my mortal impurities, I’ve come to realize that I’m nothing without God. He, and my Godfather Nathaniel taught me how to love Christmas. It’s a great holiday even for gangsters.

A Book for Christmas

Yearning to get my thoughts out, I chopped up my Christmas tree and made thin slices of paper out of it. I even made some ink from the ashes. I didn’t watch any sports, I didn’t even spend any money, I recycled my tree into a book. I called it the tree of knowledge.

The Winter Breeze

The giant snowman passed me by.

He carried with him the wind which helped me fly.

I flew like a leaf and zipped up my coat.

The winter breeze was no joke.

It froze everything, even the water.

I slept by the heater with my seven daughters.

“Dad, why is it so cold?” They all asked and agreed.

I said, “because the seasons change like the air we breathe.”

We snuggled up in our feathered blankets and fell to sleep.

We could hear the winter breeze outside as we covered our feet.

When we awoke, it was still there, it lasted all season we just had to make sure that we were prepared.

So follow my advice and don’t be caught off guard, the winter breeze can even chill your car.

Beware of the Winter Breeze it’s a cool slow freeze.
