If the sun were to shine 24 hours a day I don’t think the world would have enough time to cool off. I’m pretty sure that’s why God threw in the moon as a bargain deal just so we would have enough light to guide us through the darkness of night. That’s a good deal, it even glows so it can’t just be randomly there. I assume like everything else it has to have a purpose.
