“Johnny’s a good man,” Lola said.
See watched him and served him faithfully until the voices started.
“He’s weak Lola, he’s too nice. He has no backbone. How can he protect you? His money, his car, his entire life could belong to you,” the voice said over and over again.
“Lola’s world,” she replied to the voice.
“Yes, Lola’s world,” the voice said.
Giving in to the voice Lola became overwhelmed at the duty of serving mankind so she sat at the table and watched her husband eat rat poison that she’d stirred in his food. She then took her cooking knife and stabbed him a hundred times.
“Till death do us part,” she whispered into his ear.
At this moment the superiors noticed a flaw in human nature. As an innocent man who honored and served his wife laid in his chair lifeless the superiors noticed the evil force gaining another soul.
Seeing this and the hearts of his creation this angered the superiors so they unleashed angels from the heavens to mediate and protect the living from the negative energy that haunted them. On the other side, Lola’s husband saw his wife die slowly asking for forgiveness behind bars. He found his place in heaven and she found her place in hell. Why she did it and why she thought the grass would be greener on the other side is what everyone wanted to know.
God hit the human brake. Lola ruined a good thing.
The End
