Trademarks are designs, names and images that a company takes legal ownership of. The process for them to retain that trademark cost a lot of money and takes time to register. If a certain brand or trademark is used in any fashion without permission and is used to gain the attention of prospects for a profit, things can get out of hand for the person who owns the trademark.
