If you're around dancers you will notice just like most professions in life that they use their own terminology. The most interesting thing is that these terms come from all different forms of dance. Every culture has different dance moves and steps. The adagio is any dance to slow music or it refers to a classical pas de deux in ballet. Adagio is also the word for where dance classes, balance, and sustainment movements are performed.
